Die Rolle von Unternehmen bei der Integration von MigrantInnen

Deutsche Projektbeschreibung
In light of the demographic challenges stemming from aging populations in OECD countries, immigration fueled by populations in major migrant-sending regions emerges as a viable solution. Therefore, many countries have developed labor recruitment initiatives as a strategy to counteract labor scarcity. In 2021, for example, the European Union revised the EU Blue Card Directive to facilitate immigration from non-EU countries, targeting the persistent decrease in the size of the European labor force. With the H-1B visa type, the U.S. established a large-scale LRP in 1990. The project examines the role of firms in the medium- to long-term labor market integration of immigrants.
