KV 11 back in time. Working on archive material concerning the tomb of Ramesses III in the Valley of the Kings

The project is part of The Ramesses III (KV 11) Publication and Conservation Project which aims to record, preserve and publish the tomb of pharaoh Ramesses III.
(www.ramesses-iii-project.com) An examination of the documentation left by early travelers and researchers will provide a solid basis for the reconstruction of the wall decoration as well as determining the exact events of the flooding.
Our team is going to visit the following institutions in order to finalize the work:

a) British Library: Notebooks (R. Hay / J. Burton).
b) Griffith Institute: Paintings and drawings (H. Horeau / G. A. Hoskins); typescripts of extracts from diaries (R. Hay / J. Bonomi).
c) Bodleian Library: Papers (Sir Gardner Wilkinson).
d) University of Milan: Squeezes and notes (E. Lefébure).

Overall aims of the project:

1) Reconstruction of the former wall decoration of KV 11

2) Pinpointing the narrow time span of flood water destruction of KV 11
