CRC 1349/1: Cooperating Lewis Pairs Based on Fluorinated Bismuth and Aluminium Acceptor Moieties (SP B01)

Fluoride and fluorinated organic and inorganic residues will be utilized to create Lewis-acidic bis-muth and aluminium centres linked via organic spacer units (xanthene/dibenzofurane) to phos-phane or electron-rich transition metal moieties. These combinations of functional groups at inert organic backbones are envisaged to show a cooperative reactivity towards small molecules, which are supposed to be activated for subsequent reactions. The choice of substrates will be taken in interaction with other projects of the CRC and predictions derived from theoretical investigations.
