Fertility in pigs
Die Verbesserung der weiblichen Fruchtbarkeit beim Schwein ist eine zentrale Frage zur Sicherung der Wirtschaftlichkeit in der Schweineproduktion. Im vorgesehenen Projekt soll mit dem Ansatz der strukturellen und funktionellen Genomanalyse ein Beitrag zur Aufklärung der genetischen Ursachen unterschiedlicher Reproduktionsleistung bei der Sau geleistet werden. Zusätzlich wird die Maus als Modelltier genutzt.
