FLAIR-Horizon: Innovative experiments and instrumentation for FLAIR at FAIR - Prediction of cross-sections for the interaction of slow antiprotons

Aim of this project is the calculation of total and differential cross-sections of antiprotons interacting with atoms and molecules at low energies. A focus will be on those atoms and molecules that are expected to exist (in traces) in the planned FLAIR antiproton storage ring at GSI Darmstadt (Germany). The cross-sections are of importance, since they limit the lifetime of the antiproton beam.
