Freshwater crayfish evolution


Phylogeny and evolution of freshwater crayfish are analysed using morphological, developmental, and molecular data. Based on the phylogenetic tree questions concerning biogeography and reproduction biology of freshwater crayfish are discussed. The discovery of a parthenogenetic crayfish was of particular interest.
