The aim of this project is to perform wide investigations of Zeeman effect and optical orientation by means of polarization spectroscopy in single CdSe/ZnSe quantum dot (QD) structures in external magnetic fields. The proposed experiments allow to obtain the values for in-plane electron and hole g-factors and their angular dependence in the investigated system. This information is crucial for understanding heavy-light hole mixing mechanisms as well as optical control of electron spin (optical orientation) in QD structures.
