sCMOS Camera
As part of the project is to develop a prototype of a new scientific CMOS camera
with integrated image processing and a fast gigabit Ethernet interface provided
for data communication. A special innovation is the integrated image processing,
so is the camera for demanding scientific and commercial applications used.
The currently produced cameras of the project partners 'greateyes GmbH' in
Berlin-Adlershof, based on conventional CCD sensors, these experiences are
incorporated into this project. The processing of image signals is very high
demands on technology and requires advanced hardware-software concepts. For the
project, therefore, the powers of the 'greateyes GmbH' for the camera and the
development staff at the department Signal Processing and Pattern Recognition
(Prof. Meffert) for the FPGA system design can be combined.
