Rapid methods for the testing of tetrapyrrolic derivatives as photosensitizers for photodynamic antimicrobial therapy.


With this project we will develop a standardized protocol for screening of the photoinctivation efficiency of porphyrinic and corrole derivatives on different bacterial strains. We will install a combination of new rapid methods including the screening of photophysical properties microbial samples that can establish the methodological basis for future collaborative research projects involving the two institutions.
