Switchable Rotaxanes and Pseudorotaxane Containg the Cycloheptatrienyl-Unit (II)

Synthesis and photophysical and photochemical studies of pseudorotaxanes and rotaxanes possessing at least one cycloheptatriene station. The co-conformation of the novel rotaxanes is studied by the help of NMR-spectroscopy. The transformation into the corresponding tropylium derivatives is also studied.
