Switchable Pseudorotaxanes and Rotaxanes Containing Cycloheptatrienyl-Units (I)

For the first time pseudorotaxanes and rotaxanes are synthesized. CT interaction should be the noncovalent driving force of the formation of the pseudorotaxanes. The photochemical transformation of aryl cycloheptatrienes is studied in order to create a novel photoswitch for rotaxanes.
