Theoretical Description of Highly Charged Ions in Ultrashort Intense Laser Pulses
Goal of this project is the development of a theoretical approach for the description of highly charged ions exposed to ultrashort intense laser pulses.The corresponding experiments, planned in the context of the SPARC collaboration at the GSI (Darmstadt, Germany) should be assisted theoretically. Electronic excitation as well as ionization spectra should be calculated within the framework of the Dirac equation.
