Green Talents Research Stay Programme (Dr Elizabeth Law)

The Green Talents Programme, funded through the FONA Research for Sustainable Development Initiative of the German ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), allows promising international young scholars to carry out research stay at German institutions. Within this programme, Dr Elizabeth Law, then a member of the University of Queensland, Australia, carried out a research stay at the Geography Department. Working with the Conservation Biogeography Group, she developed a framework to analyze land use trade-offs for the Chaco region in Northern Argentina. This framework was then used to explore policies that may provide more sustainable land management in this region.
