Vocational Education Towards Climate-Adaptive Management of Urban Green Spaces


The objective of the project on “Vocational Education for climate-adapted green spaces” is to support educational institutions and teachers in education, training and further education in the field of landscape gardening: to integrate climate change-relevant aspects in their educational contexts. Course participants should take climate change-related requirements into account when planning, creating and maintaining urban green spaces. Modules in the fields of basic vocational education, further education and training are beeing developped and tested. Their flexible adjustment to the needs, the framework conditions in the educational context and the increase in knowledge in research as well as an early institutionalization is intended. Innovative are the educational content as well as their didacvtics as well as the participative processes, in the course of which demand-oriented and also “scientifically feasible” modules of vocational training are created.
