Iterated integrals in Feynman integral computations

This project is dedicated to the improvement of methods for the computation of Feynman integrals by use of classes of functions, which can be defined by iterated integrals. The project has two major goals: Firstly, we strive for a further automatization of analytical computation for the class of Feynman integrals which can be expressed in terms of multiple polylogarithms. The second main goal is to achieve a better understanding of Feynman integrals, which can not be expressed in terms of the latter class of functions and which therefore could not be adressed by certain automated techniques so far. An establishment of an appropriate class of iterated integrals for these cases and first steps in their systematical application are intended.
