Alcohol prevention with adolescents

The research project aims at the implementation and evaluation of alcohol prevention measures with twelve to sixteen years old adolescents in soccer clubs. The intervention program is based on theoretical models and empirical findings of health psychology and offered to team trainers as mediators who are to apply the program measures when working with the young players in their club teams. Over three years, the prevention is attached by three annual intervention waves focusing on knowledge transfer, attitude and behavior modification. Besides implementation and evaluation analyses a deeper insight and more knowledge is expected regarding the improvement of intervention strategies in the field of prevention of addictive behaviors.
