Model reduction based simulation of coupled PDAE systems

The modeling and analysis of complex multidisciplinary problems leads typically to coupled Systems of differential-algebraic equations and partial differential equations (PDAEs). Application examples are given in several fields, for example in the analysis of electronic and electromagnetic models of integrated circuits. We investigate model reduction based simulation methods for coupled PDAE systems and for multiscaled systems that allow a fast simulation under consideration of the modular system structure and a higher accuracy and robustness of the results. The current subproject concentrates on the development of modeling criteria for a stable co-simulation of coupled PDAE systems.
