CRC 951/2: HIOS – Custom-Synthesis of Conjugated Organic Molecules and Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Monolayers (SP Z01)


The central mission of this project is to synthesize specific conjugated organic molecules (COMs) serving as the necessary materials basis for various projects within the CRC. Hence, this project is exploiting the present expertise in organic synthesis to supply research groups in project areas A and B with the optimal molecules for their experiments without the constraint of commercial availability. Targeted compounds include monomeric and oligomeric COMs with specific functionality, including sterically demanding and polar groups as well as phosphonate anchor groups.
