Improved measurements of sensitive climate indicators

The formation and composition of clouds is a high priority for the improved understanding of atmospheric processes. However, precise spectroscopic data of atmospherically relevant condensation nuclei is missing. Our experimental capabilities allow the generation of atmospherically relevant particles with particle size as additional parameter, with radii from below 1 nm up to 20 nm, with high accuracy. The work aims to provide optical reference data of relevant nuclei as a function of particle size, e.g., CO2, (CO2)10, (CO2)100, (CO2)1000.
