EXC 264/1: Physics and Metaphysics of Space: The Ontology of Space (SP D-II-1)
This research group was established to examine physical and metaphysical theories of space concentrating on metaphysical or ontological questions related to space and spatial concepts. The focus of the different research projects was on issues, such as Aristotle’s conception of place, change and potentiality in Aristotle’s natural science and metaphysics (Anagnostopoulos), physical bodyhood and three-dimensional extensions, or continuous spatial magnitudes in ancient mathematics.
