PPP Indien DST 2017, Projektbezogener Personenaustausch

Energy demands in our world are constantly increasing and are going to continue rising in the foreseeable future. At the same time a large amount of energy is lost in form of waste heat. Therefore, the objectives of our project revolve around finding a better way of recovering this energy via a multi-step approach. For this purpose, the synthesis of new and promising thermoelectric materials based on transition metal oxides is essential, with a large emphasis put on their high electrical and low thermal conductivity. From the existing alternatives, thermoelectric materials based on transition metal oxides are the most promising candidates, as environmentally friendly, earth-abundant and affordable compounds.
