Europeanisation of Living Conditions

In view of the extremely high number of Polish entrepreneurs in Germany, the research project will investigate: 1) Why and under what conditions they decide to become self-employed, 2) What socio-economic status they have and aspire to, and 3) To what extent certain entrepreneurial activities and individual biographies can be classified as "European/transnational". The project is designed as an empirical pilot study investigating the life situations of Polish self-employed people in Berlin, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
