Gelechiidae in southern Africa

The family Gelechiidae is one of the most diverse and speciose Microlepidoptera groups in southern Africa.In cooperation with Oleksyi Bidzilia from the Zoological Museum Kiev a taxonomic treatment of the family is carried out with the aim of producing an illustrated identification manual. With this tool the group can be used in other reseach fields as ecology, conservation or biodiversity research.
