Advanced Machine Learning Prediction Methods for Automatic Heating Control

In our research we are investigating advanced machine learning prediction approaches to automatic heating control. In machine learning one uses computational algorithms that learn from data how to make more accurate predictions. Modern machine learning methods can process millions of data instances at the same time. In heating control, machine learning can help finding the most accurate model for predicting future home occupancy. Clearly accurate home occupancy could be used to switch heating off in away times and for pre-heating right before return.
