PASANOA - Pathways to sustainable land management in Northern Argentina

During the past 20 years, Argentina has become a major producer and exporter of agricultural products, yet this came at considerable environmental costs. Agricultural expansion and intensification has been particularly rampant in the Chaco, and current land management systems there are not sustainable. Within PASANOA the goal was to find pathways to sustainable future land use in the Chaco and provide solutions to implement landscapes that balance agricultural production, biodiversity conservation and other ecosystem services.
